Packaging information for KitchenAid stand mixers.

When you send your KitchenAid mixer appliance to us, please follow the following guidelines:-

1. Please remove all attachments, the bowl, chrome cap and thumb screw. We only need the appliance in order to carry out a repair or general service.

Please remove the following parts from your mixer.

Please send just your mixer.

2. Please ensure that you carefully package your mixer so that it does not get damaged in transit. Ideally send your mixer to us in its original box with polystyrene moulds holding your appliance in place. However if you do not have the original packaging, please ensure that the mixer is wrapped in at least 2 inches of bubble wrap or polystyrene packing and the unit is firmly held within a box so that movement cannot take place (this is when damage usually occurs). The best way to keep your mixer safe in transit is to cut a piece of sturdy cardboard tubing and place this under the head on the planetary, this will support the head of the mixer.

These pictures show a mixer which is incorretly packaged.  It is likely to get damaged if sent to us like this.

The picture below shows how the mixer should be packaged. It is well wrapped and secure. You should also cover your plug with lots of bubble wrap before covering the mixer, as you do not want the plug damaging the mixer.

3. Once you have paid for the repair using the payment link, you can then package your appliance. Please use the REP reference label provided on the outside of the box. Please also include your name and address of your appliance inside the box. This makes identification easier on arrival at our repair centre.
